5 months, 4 weeks agoHi,Kay, I believe you could safely do it now. Be sure to water in, which you should be able to do next weekend. OR, if we would have any rain or snow before Christmas, you could wait and let the moisture carry the seed into the soil.
Your best bet is to dormant seed before the first of the New year. Remember though that successful germination will depend on a nice amount of moisture in late winter and early spring. We did not have sufficient last season, such that many dormant seedings failed to either germinate or thrive.
