Croton with falling leaves
I purchased a small Croton as a houseplant several months ago hoping to put it outside next summmer/fall. I have it in an east facing window that is protected by direct sun with a porch. Several leaves have fallen off at the base. Am I overwatering/underwatering or need to move it to a better location? Thanks for your help. - Carolyn -

5 months, 1 week agoThe main problem is your croton is going through a process called acclimation. That is the change in environment from the outdoors to the indoors. This results in a leaf drop. Mainly because of the reduced light levels and difference in humidity. There is little that can be done to stop this process.
Croton require bright light and let the plant dry slightly between watering.
