Frozen tomato plants?

Q&A

I have many tomatoes on the ground after destroying frosted plants. Is it ok to turn under them in my tomato bed? - Dan -

With the possibility of carrying over any disease, not to mention the multitude of volunteer plants that you would have for next season, I would not. But this would be a good time to renew the soil with fresh organic matter, after the soil dries out a bit from this nice rain. Then you will be good to go next spring.
