How do I get rid of vinca..It was here when I moved here 7 yr’s. ago.. and I can’t get rid of it..It invades everything I plant..and is a problem..!thanks for any help. - Jill -

    Vinca can be hard to eradicate, but with time and patience it can be done.

    Pull or dig up as much as you can. The remaining plants can be killed with Glyphosate, but you must protect the surrounding ornamentals or perennials, as this chemical is a non-selective herbicide. Also add a spreader sticker to the Glyphosate.

    You will probably not be able to kill all the vinca at once, but you can continue to spray the glyphosate as along as the temps will be above 50 degrees F.

    Watch carefully for regrowth in the spring. Pull what you can and use glyphosate on the rest.

    The safest way is to pull and dig it out, that way you don’t risk harming the surrounding plants.
