Q&A

My GS reseeded my lawn He put lots of straw on top of the new seeds and starter My question is what happens when the leaves fall and have to be removed. Will we damage the new (hopfully) new grass? Thanks - Nancy -

Remove the fallen leaves promptly in or to decrease the shade on the new grass. This can be done by blowing them off with a leaf blower, mowing, or carefully raking. If there are not too many leaves, you can mulch the leaves onto the grass as long as the tops of the grass blades are still showing.
