Too late to replant mums?

Q&A

One of our customers brought us a couple of amiko violet belgian mums into the office as decoration. Now that the mums are dying I was wondering if it was too late to plant them outside or if its better to keep them in the pot through the winter and plant them in the spring. If I wait till spring will they still bloom in the fall? - Kylie -

You will not be able to keep indoors over the winter. Go ahead and plant out. It is late but be sure to water over winter and provide a little protection with some mulch and hope for the best.
