Transplant milkweed and heliopsis now?

Q&A

I have a swamp milkweed and a Heliopsis that both got pretty big this summer. They need to be moved so they don’t shade my veggie garden. Now or in the spring - which would be the best time? - Lori -

My recommendation would be to transplant in the late winter or early spring just as growth is beginning. You could also do it now but you would have to make sure they are kept well watered during the winter months if dry.

Best of luck with the transplanting.
