Using ice melts
Last week we had a round of slippery walks and drives. It would appear we missed this morning but more winter weather is on the way. Here is a tip when using ice melts. Use caution and use them sparingly as they can damage plants and concrete. Don’t follow ‘if a little is good a lot is better’ mentality. Protect lawns and plants by not applying the material right up to the edge of the pavement. Instead leave an untreated buffer strip to catch some run off.
Remember always to be safe when shoveling snow or when walking a slick surface. Happy Holidays - Dennis
