When to stop watering new lawns?
I re-established my yard with fescue on Labor Day and it has now produced a lush healthy lawn. Our weather forecast is predicting either frost or freeze in the near future. Will the grass go into dormancy at that point and I can stop watering or should I continue to water well into Fall? - Chuck -

7 months, 3 weeks agoYou should keep watering 1” a week until winter and a hard freeze. If we do not have enough moisture this winter, continue watering when we have warm days monthly until spring. Jane

7 months, 3 weeks agoThanks! Under normal conditions I am no fan of Winter but this year I really wish for a lot of snow like we had a couple of years ago. We really need it!
