Cheryl Ann NovickCheryl Ann NovickCheryl Ann Novick is a master gardener with University of Missouri Extension Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City.

She writes:

I live in Liberty on a little piece of property directly across the creek from the MLT Nature Sanctuary. We have a bit over 4 acres. I have flower gardens and, depending on time available, often have a vegetable garden. I work full time as an IT and HR manager for a small company with five branches and a home office here in KC (near the sports complex). I’ve gardened since college, so that’s about 30 years. I’ve been a Master Gardener for a few years. In 2007, I received the Clay County Master Gardener Volunteer of the Year award, and in 2006 received the MG’s of Greater KC’s award for Master Gardener of Merit. My gardens are NOT pristine and picture perfect (unless you shoot at just the right angle!), but digging in the dirt is the perfect antidote to my “techie” work life.
