his year’s training sessions for University of Missouri Extension Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City volunteers will begin Aug. 13.
The classes, taught by MU Extension faculty, will be held each Thursday for 16 weeks through Dec. 3. The majority of the classes will be at the Trails West Branch of the Kansas City Public Library, located at 11401 E. 23 St., in Independence. Half the sessions will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, with the remainder scheduled for 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m.
The $150 fee covers the cost of materials and State Master Gardener registration. Applications are due by June 16.
