I have a hardy white violet which was given to me years ago by a fellow Master Gardener. It has spread nicely, but not aggressively, over the years. I honestly do not know where you can find this in the KC area, but it would be easier to locate in the springtime.
If you are unable to locate a white violet next spring, contact Dennis Patton, who can get in touch with me. I will be happy to share and can leave a plant or two for you at the JOCO Extension Service. The flower is quite simple and pretty.

This may be a dumb question but are you looking for a white violet, such as an African Violet a violet to grow in the garden?
If you are searching for an African violet I would suggest a garden center that sells houseplants. There are a number in the area but a couple of places to call might be Family Tree or Suburban Lawn and Garden.
Don't mean to leave other locations out by I know they carry houseplants.
There is an African Violet Society in KC if you are looking for a special type.
If you are looking for an outdoor type spring sales might be your best bet as violets for the garden are more likely to be available in the spring. I know the supplier for the Overland Park Arboretum plant sale has a number of violet varieties.
