I have planted morning glories that bloom very little and not growing well. They are putting on seeds, lots of seeds. What could be the problem?Maggie
I would like to know what you mean by "putting on seed".
They cannot make seeds without first having a flower. Maybe what you think are seeds pods are primordial flowers?
If you find they are not flowering much it could be from too fertile of conditions or you simply havent waited long enough into the season (mine have yet to flower but are growing).
Morning glories start to flower very late in the season depending on the variety. I would wait a few more weeks. As Hortis indicates you must have flowers for seeds. Are you sure those are not developing flower buds?
